Japan is one of the key markets for CHANEL and a challenging one with complicated regulations, legal infrastructures, complex trade partnerships, and aggressive competitors.
CHANEL Japan operates with 3 business divisions; Fashion, Fragrance & Beauty, Watch & Fine Jewelry.
For F&B, there are 140 retail POS for local and travel retail businesses across the country. Business continues to grow through strong distribution network mainly in department stores and on-line businesses.
For WFJ, there are 41 retail POS including fashion boutiques, and 36 wholesale corners. Business has been growing rapidly, achieving high sales goals and upgrading brand imagery. Japan plays a vital role in developing seamless luxury experience online & offline.
CHANEL Japan Creative Studio supports Fragrances & Beauty and Watches & Fine Jewelry, and places the needs and interests of the customer at the center.
Creative Studio is now looking for an experienced Operations Manager to play a key role in making CHANEL the most beautiful and desirable brand in Japan. Our mission is to achieve operational excellence, raise the bar on creative quality across all platforms, and drive innovation to deliver engaging local content.

Overview
The Operations Manager will be critical in supporting Creative Studio Director as the operations lead focused on overall project management whilst driving a creative operating model and establishing a culture and processes, aligned with Global Artistic Direction in Paris, in order to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness of the department.
The Operations Manager must be an accomplished results driven creative operations leader with relationship management and collaboration skills to ensure the success of Creative Studio.

Scope
70% dedicated to digital activities – Fragrance & Beauty + Watches & Fine Jewelry
30% to others (copy, print, TV) – Fragrance & Beauty + Watches & Fine Jewelry.

Responsibilities
OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and overseeing creative department workflow strategy and project assignments in close collaboration with Creative Studio Director.
Spearhead implementations and adoptions of new processes and systems and lead an ongoing evolution of creative operations.
This includes partnership with Global Artistic Direction and appointed external vendors in supporting creative operations as it relates to new technology tools for asset and project management. Once implementation is complete, continue to serve as a guide and explore opportunities for improvement and optimization. The Operations Manager will have full oversight and be responsible for tracking and supporting KPIs.
S/he will add operational efficiency to the creative workflow process by using best practices and tools to streamline and structure the way creative work is produced within Creative Studio. S/he will pro-actively partner with Marketing, E-commerce,
Event and Public Relations teams on intake and delivery of all creative work on time.
S/he will attend all project kickoffs and review all creative briefs with Digital and Copy PMs and ensure all information is present for projects to be completed on time.
Operations Manager will be responsible for sharing and monitoring creative schedules and setting priorities to meet deadlines as well as troubleshooting problems as they arise. S/he will establish processes and infrastructure that will lend tself to the overall efficiency of the creative development process and communication within Creative Studio as well as own all creative team agendas and lead regular status meetings.
Operations Manager will lead and influence creative talent to achieve department and project goals through diplomatic communication, consistent messaging and organized creative processes.
S/he is also responsible for representing Creative Studio’s mission, perspective,
goals and deliverables in meetings across multiple cross functional teams, including Marketing, Public Relations, Project Management, Producers, and Production.
